42 people are waiting on trolleys at the region's main hospital today.

According to figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives organisation, 24 people are waiting for beds in the Emergency Department of University Hospital Limerick, while a further 18 are being accomodated in overflow areas of wards.
It's the highest overall number of any hospital in the country today.
35 people are waiting on trolleys in the ED at Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore, while the figure has reached 33 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
