4% Drop In Primary School Pupil Numbers In Clare Since 2017

The number of pupils attending primary schools in Clare has dropped by more than 4 percent since 2017.

New CSO figures show 13,170 students were enrolled in primary education in this county last year.

However, similar numbers for secondary school pupils show an increase in the number of students attending such facilities in Clare.

8,660 children were enrolled in second level education in Clare in 2021, which is a 5 percent jump on 2018’s numbers.
