The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has fallen significantly.
But the latest INMO figures show University Hospital Limerick remains the busiest in the country with 38 patients on trolleys there this morning, 23 of those in the emergency department.
The overall figure is 20 more than the next busiest facility.
