Hospital trolleys

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is on the rise once again.

The latest INMO figures show 37 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 22 of those on trolleys in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 15 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 107 patients were left waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.
