The figure, which includes 22 people who are on trolleys in the hospital's Emergency Department, is the highest of any hospital outside of Beaumont in Dublin.
Daily statistics compiled by the INMO show pressures too at University Hospital Galway, where 30 people have been waiting for treatment this morning.
