Approximately 3,169 households in Clare will be included in the Enhanced Back to School Clothing & Footwear Allowance scheme.
Families will be paid €260 in respect of children aged 4-11 , while a payment of €385 will be distributed to those aged 12 years and over.
Applications will will extend to any 18-22 year olds returning to recognised second level institutions, with the closing date for all concerned to fall on September 30th.
