Almost three thousand patients have been assisted by the Emergency Aeromedical Service in the past five years.
The EAS – formed by the Irish Air Corps and the National Ambulance Service – has an advanced paramedic on board the AirCorps112 helicopter.
It’s a dedicated service for delivering advanced medical care to remote locations.
