The number of new homes constructed in Clare has risen by 30%in the last year.
New figures from the Central Statistics Office show over 100 dwellings were completed in this county between April and June.
A total of 108 new dwellings were built in Clare in the last three months, which is 25 more than the 83 homes completed within the same period of 2023.
Of the homes completed, 54 were single houses, 49 were scheme houses and 5 were apartments.
However, this has been a drop of 15% when compared to the first quarter of the year, with the figure of completed dwellings from January to March adding up to 127.
So far this year there has been a total of 235 completed dwellings in Clare.
28 percent of these homes were constructed in Killaloe, over a quarter were built in Ennis, 23%are located in Shannon, 15% in Kilrush, while Ennistymon holds the lowest contribution of 9%.
Nationally, there were 6,884 new dwelling completions over Quarter 2 of 2024, a fall of 5.4% on the same three months of 2023.
