30% Fall In Covid Patients At UHL As Trolley Numbers Also Continue To Fall

The number of Covid patients at the region’s main hospital has dropped by almost 30% this week.

The HSE’s latest daily operations report shows 48 patients who tested positive for the virus were admitted at University Hospital Limerick this morning, down from 68 on Monday.

The number intensive care has risen by 1 however.

Meanwhile, the level of overcrowding at the Dooradoyle is also on a downward trajectory.

The latest trolleywatch analysis from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation shows there were 62 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 37 of those on trolleys in the ED.
