Three men remain in Garda custody following the fatal stabbing of a Polish man in Ennis.

31 year old Peter Nowakowski, a single man who had lived in Clare for a number of years, died after he was stabbed in a violent incident which occurred at Sandfield Mews in the town at around 1:00 on Tuesday morning.
A second man suffered a broken leg and has received treatment at University Hospital Limerick, where he has also been interviewed by Gardai.
Three men, two of them Irish, were arrested by Gardai shortly after the incident and have been questioned at Ennis and Shannon Garda Stations
