Gardaí are continuing to quiz three men after a suspected arson attack on an officer’s private car outside Scarriff Garda Station.

The Renault vehicle which was completely destroyed in the fire was parked at the rear of the station on Monday night when it was set alight- Several windows in Scarriff Garda Station were also smashed in.
It’s reported the incident took place just hours after officers stopped and seized a vehicle in the East Clare area.
Yesterday three men were arrested in connection with the arson attack and are being held at Ennis, Shannon and Killaloe Garda Stations on suspicion of criminal damage.
