3 charged over primary school incident

3 people have appeared in court charged in connection with an incident outside The Holy Family Junior School in Ennis yesterday.

During the hour long hearing at Ennis District Court today Conor Mahon of 2 Ballaghboy, Quin Road, Ennis was charged with possession of a slash hook at Station Road, Ennis.

His wife Rose, of the same address and her 21 year old sister Laura Molloy of  An Pairc, Bruach Na HAbhainn, Quin Road were charged with criminal damage of a car at the same location near the  Holy Family Junior School.

All three faced another count of engaging in abusive or threatening behaviour.

Mr Mahon and his sister in law were remanded in custody to appear in court again this day week

Rose Mahon was also remanded but with consent to bail under several strict conditions, including that she remain away from the Holy Family School, several named housing estates in Ennis and also observe a night-time curfew.

The case is due back before the courts this day week
