219 new domestic waste water treatment systems were registered in Clare last year.
New data from the Central Statistics Office shows 20,827 such systems were documented in this county in 2021.

Almost all of them are considered to be for ‘domestic’ use, with just 339 registered as a mix between public authority and non-domestic usage.
Clare recorded the second lowest amount of registrations for waste water systems in Munster last year, behind only Waterford.
