The application submitted by Hassett Leyden and Associates on March 26th is for 28 homes consisting of 14 semi-detached houses and 14 duplex units on a 1.13 hectare site at Baunkyle in Corofin.

A total of 45 parking spaces are included in the application while it’s also stated that each dwelling will have a rear garden.

Clare County Council granted planning permission on May 20th subject to 25 conditions.

The local authority has ruled “in the interests of protecting residential amenity and preventing undue overlooking”, two dwellings are to be omitted from the scheme and replaced by two single-storey units.

For the same reason, it’s decided that two further units are to be relocated forwards.

Construction is to take place on weekdays between the hours of 8am and 7pm and on Saturdays from 8am to 2pm.
