More than 26,000 passports have been issued to people in county Clare in the past two years.
Figures released to the Oireachtas show more than 17,500 Banner residents received a new passport from the Passport Office last year, along with nearly 9,000 in 2021.
More than 90 percent of applications for the document are now done via the Passport Online system.
