There's been a 26 per increase in the number of people waiting on trolleys at the region's main hospital since this time last year.

Figures released by the Irish Nurses and Midwives organisation show nearly 6,300 people waiting on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick between January and October, an increase of over 1,300 on the same period last year.
The figures are broadly in line with national trends, and come as the union announces that it's to ballot members for industrial action, up to and including the withdrawal of labour.
Health Minister Leo Varadkar says he's disappointed by the decision but the Deputy General Secretary of the INMO, David Hughes believes nurses have been left with no other choice.
