The number of complaints received by the Ombudsman in Clare last year was up 25%.
The Office of the Ombudsman examines complaints from members of the public who feel they’ve been badly treated by public service providers – as well as complaints about failures by public bodies to provide accessible buildings, services and information.

4,400 complaints were received nationwide last year with 108 of these in Clare which was 27 more than the previous year.
Ombudsman Ger Deering says those who are unclear on their rights can contact the Office to ensure they’re getting what they’re entitled to.
