Over 2,300 UL Hospital Group Staff Have Already Received First Vaccine Doses

Over 2,300 healthcare workers with the UL Hospital Group received their first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine last week.

The first vaccines were administered at University Hospital Limerick last Monday, and at Ennis General on Wednesday.

The figure has been released by senior hospital group official Margaret Gleeson, Chairperson of the Group’s COVID-19 Vaccination Steering Group, who has described last week as a really good start.

She has thanked all involved in the process, and stated that plans are in place to roll out the vaccine to the rest of the hospitals in the group.

The staff in question will receive their second doses of the Pfizer/BionTech vaccine three weeks after their first.
