Built between 1810 and 1830, the three-bay two storey house is located between Ennis Community College and Ennis Health Centre.

Until the recent opening of the new De Valera Public Library, the building had been in use as the county library headquarters.

Now, the local authority has revealed its intention to carry out refurbishment works on Bellevue House with a view to returning it to office use.

The tender, which has an estimated value of €450,000, is for electrical installation work, plumbing and sanitary works, mechanical installations, and works for complete or part construction and civil engineering work.

Interested parties are required to submit tenders on June 16th and the successful tender must remain valid for 180 days.
