There’s broad welcome to news of a 200,000 euro grant for the Shannon Swimming Poll and Leisure Centre.
Fine Gael Senator Tony Mulcahy has welcomed Minister of State for Tourism & Sport Michael Ring’s announcement of the funds which will be used to improve access for people with disabilities.

These will include providing ramps, hoists, widening doorways or new changing facilities where necessary.
Additional heating improvements will also be installed to improve the energy efficiency of the buildings.
