200 New Claims Of Garda Misconduct

The Taoiseach is due to be presented with a dossier containing 200 new claims of Garda misconduct.

The Mail on Sunday reports that the new claims include an investigation that could have prevented a murder, sexual assaults that weren't properly investigated and drugs and dangerous driving offences.

Last week Enda Kenny was provided with information which alleged serious malpractice by the Gardai, including in the background of the investigation into the murder of Sixmilebridge woman Sylvia Roche Kelly in 2007.

The paper says a new female Garda whistleblower has also emerged, with documentation of even more claims.

The paper's Political Editor John Lee, says the claims in the dossier have been known to authorities.
