20 Domestic Wastewater Treatment Plant Inspections Conducted In Clare This Year

20 inspections of domestic wastewater treatment plants have been carried out in Clare so far this year.

Clare County Council routinely inspects domestic wastewater treatment systems, including septic tanks, to ensure they don’t pose a risk to human health or the environment.

10 planned inspections in January couldn’t take place as there was no water supply at the sites to be inspected due to Storm Isha.

The local authority has received 36 pollution complaints across January and February which is up from 27 for the same period last year.

Figures from Clare County Council show three warning and advisory letters have been issued by the Water Enforcement Scientific Team in this county since the start of the year.
