Two Clare men have been elected to prominent roles within the Fianna Fail party
Party TD for Clare Timmy Dooley is one of five vice Presidents, while Garrett Greene of Ennis, the current vice-Chairman of the Clare C.D.C., has become a member of the party’s ‘Committee of 20’ on the party’s National Executive.
The nominations have been confirmed following the party’s Ard Fheis this past weekend, but leader Micheál Martin has been criticised by one of his former party colleagues.
Now an Independent Councillor, Kilnamona’s James Breen is a former member of Fianna Fail but feels Deputy Martin’s televised address on Saturday night will not have inspired the Irish people.
