A restored 19th century Council minute book has gone on display in Ennis.
The earliest surviving Minute Book of Ennis Town Commissioners, the precursor to both the Urban District Council and Ennis Town Council, has been conserved and placed on public display.

The Minute Book dating from 1874-1883 is said to be of great value as it gives insight into the conditions endured by the inhabitants of the town in the late 19th century.
It will remain on public display at the offices of Ennis Town Council, Drumbiggle, Ennis, Co. Clare, until Friday, 8 March, 2013.
