New figures show that 66 drivers have been disqualified from driving more than once for accumulating over 12 penalty points.

A total of 191 drivers were banned for meeting the 12 point limit in 2013 – with the total since the points system was introduced now at over 2-thousand.
Reacting to the figures, the Transport Minister Leo Varadkar says courts can deliver longer driving bans if they feel they’re necessary.
