150 Homeowners In Clare To Be Notified Of Lead Piping

Over 150 homeowners in Clare who will be notified that their properties could have internal lead piping will have to cover the cost themselves.

Irish Water is sending 26,000 letters to homeowners throughout the country, beginning in Dublin, warning that supplies may be contaminated with unsafe levels.

The water utility company is advising people that internal plumbing is the responsibility of the homeowner and that anyone who's home was built in the 1970's or before should take immediate action.
