143 On Trolleys At Region’s Main Hospital This Morning

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has spiralled, as the week begins.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation shows there were 143 admitted patients on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick during morning rounds.

It’s almost three times the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital and represents more than a quarter of all patients waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country today.
