The wait is over for more than 1,300 Leaving Cert students in Clare today as they receive their results this morning.
666 girls and 667 boys will be opening their envelopes at schools around the county from 9am or getting their grades online this afternoon.
The new grading system appears to be leading to better results with 13 students nationally receiving eight H1s, the highest grade, compared to just 7 students who got eight A1s last year.
The fail rate has also fallen, with CAO points now on offer for anything over 30 points, instead of the previous limit of 40.
