120k In Heritage Funding Will Increase Tourism In Clare – Garvey

Clare’s Green Party Senator believes newly announced Heritage Funding of over €120,000 for Clare’s historical sites will go towards boosting tourism in the county.

€120,621 in funding has been secured by Green Minister Malcolm Noonan for heritage activity across the county.

€22,000 of the funding will go towards making a plan for the conservation of Hastings farmhouse in Shannon, almost €19,500 will be spent on pier and gate restoration on the popular walking route at Clooney House and nearly €15,000 has been allocated to Clarecastle Tidy Towns to conduct a tree survey.
