12,000 Professional Job Vacancies In January

There were nearly 12-thousand professional job vacancies in January – a 33 per cent increase on the previous month.

The Morgan McKinley monthly employment monitor also reveals that over half of these jobs are spread out across the country – rather than being concentrated in urban areas – as was the case in January last year.

The majority of opportunities are available in financial services and life sciences companies – with an increased demand for engineers in particular.

Director of Inward Investment with Morgan McKinley Trayc Keevans says Brexit has played a huge part in the number of jobs available.
