Figures released today by Permanent TSB show 12 per cent of their mortgages are more than 90 days in arrears.

It’s the highest of any of the Irish banks, and was revealed as annual results showed PTSB recorded a loss of 424 million euro in 2011 – its highest ever.
The bank has had to set aside 1.4 billion euro to cover loan losses – that’s up significantly on the figure in 2010 of around 400 million euro.
