12 New Cases Of COVID-19 Confirmed In Clare; 921 New Cases Nationally

12 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Clare this evening with 921 new cases confirmed nationwide.

Clare’s incidence rate of 134.7 per 100,000 people is the third lowest in the country and continues to fall.

Dr Ronan Glynn, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Department of Health, said: “We have made progress in Ireland over recent weeks, but the rate of transmission of the disease is still extremely high and the risks COVID-19 poses to our vulnerable loved ones have not changed.”
