The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation is calling for urgent action from the HSE over what it’s described as “unsafe patient and staff conditions in hospitals.”
It comes as 793 admitted patients have been left waiting on trolleys or chairs in hospitals across the country today.

According to INMO figures, University Hospital Limerick remains by far the busiest, with 111 waiting for beds during morning rounds.
The overall figure is 37 more than the next busiest hospital; Cork University Hospital, while there were also 62 patients on trolleys at University Hospital Galway this morning, the third busiest facility in the country.
