The Lough Derg Blueway and the Friars Walk Coach Park in Ennis are among 11 projects in this county shortlisted for the 2018 Excellence in Local Government Awards.
The annual ceremony aims to encourage best practice among the local authorities around Ireland, with Clare County Council shortlisted in 11 of the 15 categories.

The Burren & Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark is up for the Sustainable Environment award, BiaFest is in the running for Festival of the Year and Ennis Peace Park is nominated in the Commemorations and Centenaries category.
The winners will be announced in an awards ceremony in Dublin in November with one council to be named Local Authority of the Year 2018.
