The level of overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick is more than double the next two busiest facilities in the country today.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation recorded 109 patients wating for a trolley at UHL during this mornings rounds, including 62 in the Emergency Department.

Mayo and Letterkenny University Hospitals are the next most occupied premises with 48 and 44 patients on trolleys respectively.
It comes on a day where 502 people are without a bed at hospitals nationwide.
