A Clare-based Ukrainian refugee, who fled her homeland hours after it was invaded, believes the chances of her family returning safely are virtually non-existent.
A special event was held at the 1916 rising memorial in Ennis yesterday to mark 1,000 days of the war, which has so far claimed more than 12,000 civilian lives.
