Over 100 On Trolleys At Region’s Main Hospital

The number of people without a bed at University Hospital Limerick broke 100 this morning.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation’s daily count has found that 107 people were on trolleys at the facility this morning – almost triple that of the next busiest facility which was Cork University Hospital with 38 people waiting on a bed there.

402 people were on trolleys across the country this morning with St Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin, Sligo University Hospital, University College Hospital Galway and University Hospital Kerry all having more than 25 people waiting for a bed.
