Shannon has experienced a significant jobs boost in the first few months of the year
Westpark businesses campus have announced that over 100 jobs have been created there since the start 2016 alone.
There are now more than 50 companies operating at the campus, employing over 2000 people.
A number of these businesses have signalled their intent to expand their operations recently, most recently Australian mortgage lender Pepper who announced their intention to add to their workforce in Shannon earlier this year.
American manufacturing giant Hubbell also opened a sales office there in August of last year, their first office location in Europe, which has provided an additional boost.
Westpark claim the rate of growth at the campus means it is now running close to full capacity.
They are also hailing today's annoucement as a major boost for the site itself and for the local economy.
