100 Admitted Patients Waiting For A Hospital Bed At UHL Today

The number of patients waiting on trolleys at the region’s main hospital has reached the 100 mark once again.

The latest figures from the INMO show there were 46 patients waiting for beds in the Emergency Department at UHL this morning, with a further 54 accommodated in overflow areas of wards.

It means University Hospital Limerick is the busiest hospital in the country, with 25 more patients than the next busiest facility.
