One in six people offered social housing in Co. Clare last year rejected accomodation offered to them.
Figures obtained from the local authority shows there were 124 offers made to people on the social housing list in 2015 with 20 being turned down in total – 17 on the first offer and 3 on the second.

However, Clare County Council says this refusal rate isn't as high as other local authority areas, with almost half of accomodation being turned down in some counties.
