1.2 Million Attend Emergency Departments Each Year

1.2 million people attend emergency departments here each year – yesterday 443 patients were waiting on trolleys in hospitals across the country.

The most recent INMO figures show that the situation was worst at University Hospital Galway where 35 people were waiting on a bed. 

Today the Irish Association for Emergency Medicine has compiled a list of key issues that must be addressed in the run up to the General Election.
