If you’re a solo artist, or in a band we want to hear from you

Whether it’s rock, pop, trad, country, or rap this could be the breakthrough you’ve been waiting for!

Don’t delay, the closing date for entries is January 31st

How it works:

Clare FM will choose four finalists to perform on air

Each finalist will receive a once-off payment from the project. This will be €875 for each finalist (€650 for the band / €225 if you have a crew to pay).

The Clare FM Local Hero winner could then qualify for the national final and win a prize worth €10,000! That’s €5,000 in prize money, €5,000 in musical equipment, and have your single released by Rubyworks!

Terms and conditions

Please email Clare FM your song, it can not be professionally recorded in a studio.

If you are selected one of the four finalist you must perform this song on Clare FM.

Our winner will be decided by a panel of judges.

Original songs only.

Selection Criteria

Artists can be from any genre of music
Artists can be well established or emerging on music scene
No limit on age, genre, or gender of artists
Artists must be available to perform on Clare FM and if successful, be available to perform at a National Event
Selected Artists must perform at least 1 original song/ track on Clare FM
No limit on number of members of band / number of artists in bands
