Alan’s guest on In Profile this week is John Conroy. John is a man of many talents and interests.
The North Clare native is an experienced and qualified fitness coach who has worked with various community, voluntary, state organisations and private companies in Ireland.
He has 15 years of experience working as a GAA coach and was a championship medal winner with Michael Cusack’s and Tubber.
He is a member of the backroom team for the Clare senior footballers, working on statistics and analysis with Colm Collins’ side, while also being a committee member of Clare GAA Health and Well Being.
As if that wasn’t enough, John volunteers in underdeveloped countries in Africa, working with the most marginalised and vulnerable children and adults for the past 14 years in Uganda.
As you can tell, John has a lot to pack into his fascinating story and he does just that, as you will hear.
