Dom has lived quite a life. He provided voluntary medical care in some of the world’s most troubled and poorest regions for over fifty years, starting in 1960.
Dom has written a number of medical books, while he joined us late last year to chat about his book for children, Dr. Dom’s Bedtimes Stories. He is an honorary senior clinical lecturer in the Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin, and invited lecturer in Tropical Medicine in NUI Galway. He is co-founder of the thriving Travel Medicine Society of Ireland and founder of the Volunteer Medical Doctor scheme and of Voluntary Services Abroad.
