Alan Morrissey’s latest guest on In Profile is Damien Gormley.
Damien is a singer/songwriter, musician and mental health advocate from Clarecastle, who would be well known for entertaining crowds in the pubs, hotels and streets around Ennis.
Damien had his struggles with traumatic events in his life, which led to him turning to drink and drugs to help him cope with the bad times.
He reached a really low ebb, but thankfully he was able to find the support he needed to get his career back on track. He shares his story, in the hope it will help others who may find themselves in a similarly difficult situation.
Damien is an honest and open individual and we really appreciate him taking the time to share his story, which, thankfully, has a happy ending and will inspire many of you out there
