The owners of a car dealership in Clare have struck a settlement of nearly €300,000 with the Revenue Commissioners having been found to have underpaid VAT.
Sean and Mary Murray of Kilmurry, Sixmilebrdge, trading as Murray Car Sales, have paid just over €50,000 in penalties as part of their overall settlement.
The case arose following a Revenue audit, and the money has been paid in full.
