North Clare hosted the final day of the Swedish Royal Visit today, before the King and Queen departed Shannon Airport.
Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and his wife Silvia have been on a three day state visit to Ireland, where they have attended engagements in Dublin, Westmeath, Galway and in Clare.
Today, they toured an eco-farm in the Burren before travelling to Lisdoonvarna for the tour of the Burren Smokehouse restaurant – run by Swedish native Birgitta Curtin.
