Three Clare Athletes Compete In Final Of Women’s Senior 800m At National Championships

Clare’s Alex O’Neill took home a bronze medal from the National Senior Athletics championships in Santry.

The Quin native claimed the podium spot in the final of the 800 metres, with O’Neill having come into the race as the defending champion.

It was a final with a strong Clare contingent, as Ennis Track duo Gemma Galvin and Jo Keane also came through their heats to qualify for the race.

Galvin came through second in her heat, while Keane was one of the fastest runners up.
