People in Clare are being urged to check on their elderly relatives and neighbours during the ongoing cold snap.
With the county under an orange weather warning until 5pm this evening, HSE Midwest has issued advice on how to best support the most vulnerable.

Consuming hot meals and drinks and wearing multiple layers has been identified as the easiest ways to keep warm while its advised to pay particular attention to those living alone.
