An East Clare primary school is hoping its grounds will soon be aglow pending a grant of planning permission for new floodlights.
PEMCAS Inspired Engineering has submitted a planning application on behalf of Kilkishen National School for the erection of LED floodlighting mounted on four columns on the existing all-weather pitch.

The application states the development is exempt from a planning fee as it’s intended to be used primarily for educational purposes and “is not to be used mainly for profit or gain”.
Clare County Council’s Planning Department must reach a decision on the development by April 9th and submissions can be made up until March 19th.
